What is facade color?

Facade Color is a product that combines layers of microcement with high-quality industrial paints, such as polyurethane, providing high flexibility and the ability to repair potential surface cracks. It offers a glossy, semi-gloss, or matte finish with a variety of textures and is available in both water-based and solvent-based formulations with strong adhesion. This product is suitable for both interior and exterior applications.

Facade Color can be applied on cement, concrete, plaster, wood, and other surfaces. It offers excellent resistance to weather conditions and is highly water-resistant. Its applications include building facades, pool ceilings and walls, bathrooms, and flooring surfaces. The paint can be applied with varying thicknesses depending on the texture, creating visual depth on wavy surfaces. Among its properties, it is resistant to UV radiation, making it suitable for outdoor use. High durability and seamless application are among the key features of Facade Color.

Advantages of Facade Color

Among the main advantages of Facade Color, which have quickly made it one of the leading options for decorative wall and floor finishes, are the following:

  • Waterproof and resistant to moisture penetration
  • Resistant to sunlight and UV exposure
  • Easy maintenance and cleaning
  • Very high durability
  • joint-free surface
  • Strong adhesion to various surfaces
  • Wide range of colors and textures
  • Easy installation and fast application speed
  • Antibacterial properties

Applications of Facade Color

Facade Color can be applied to various types of substrates. The surface where Facade Color is applied must be free of unevenness, bumps, and waves. In fact, Facade Color can be used on any smooth surface.

During the application of Facade Color, proper substrate preparation is one of the most important steps to ensure strong adhesion and correct execution. To achieve proper bonding to the surface, using a suitable resin primer for different substrates is essential.

Facade Color Application Steps

  • Surface preparation (leveling and removing surface dust)
  • If required, apply resin primer along with fiberglass mesh reinforcement
  • Apply two coats of microcement as the base layer
  • Apply acrylic Facade Color or polyurethane paint (UV-resistant) as the final layer

Application steps may slightly vary depending on the type of space and its usage. For example, in facade applications, the final layer material differs from materials used for interior walls.

On average, about 1.5 to 3 kg of reinforced material per square meter is used, resulting in an approximate thickness of 1 to 3 mm on the surface.
